“When I touch clay I am playing, I feel present, and in a flow state. One night I invited some friends over to play with clay and together we made objects for this mobile. A practice of mindfulness, with these people, in this place.”

The lamp shade is a 12” wheel-thrown form with handbuilt alterations. Materials include ceramic, metal wire, embroidery string, and electrical components, dimmable bulb.

Created as a site-specific final project for UCLA Advanced Ceramics course with professor Anna Sew Hoy.
